The Sweet Brown Dog was our chocolate Labrador retriever Allie. I found Allie at a Humane Society shelter in California in 1997. Allie passed away in 2008, but she traveled across the country and lived a good life, serving as our friend and protector for 11 years.
I grew up in Indiana and have lived in Texas, California, North Carolina and, presently, Florida's Tampa Bay Area. I work at a conventional day job while pursuing writing and photography. This is the Hyper Tricolor Dog. We rescued Buddy, the beagle/foxhound/mutt, from a shelter in North Carolina in 2002. If you can't tell from the photo, Buddy only has one eye. This doesn't stop him from wreaking havoc.
